This coming March, experience a unique opportunity to have face-to-face discussions with top business people in Mexico, while also getting an insider’s view on the culture and business etiquette of Mexico.

We have partnered with Mexico’s Minister of Economy to arrange for you what could be the trip of your career. By day, you will engage with government officials to better understand the economic opportunities in the country. By night, you can enjoy sumptuous cuisine and sample the exciting nightlife that the city has to offer.

Here is just a sampling of what you will experience during this exciting 5-day trip:

  • Upon arrival in Mexico, an introductory session to learn the do’s and don’ts of doing business in Mexico and a perspective on the country’s current economic situation
  • A group meeting with the Minister of Economy and Foreign Affairs
  • Break out meetings to further network with Mexican business people for potential opportunities
  • Discussions with top-tier Mexican venture capitalists on recent trends
  • A Historic Center walking tour
  • Markets & Museum of Anthropology Tour, followed by a Mezcal tasting
  • Pyramids of Teotihuacán Tour and Lucha Libra wrestling match
  • A private tour of a car manufacturing plant

We have an exciting introductory session with the business Jetsetters team planned. They will be sharing with you all valuable insights on the do’s and don’ts of doing business in Mexico as well as a perspective on the country’s current economic situation. The session will also discuss common business etiquette to ensure our fellow travelers  success in their up comingmeetings.

Historic Center Walking Tour
This will be a walking tour through the Historic Center. Highlights will include the Diego Rivera Mural, Plaza Santa Veracruz, Palacio Postal, Casa del los Azulejos, Palacio de Iturbide, Museo del Estanquillo, Zócalo, Cathedral, and Templo Mayor Lookout point.

Markets & Museum of Anthropology Tour
On this tour you will visit the Mercado de Jamaica, exploring and tasting fresh local products – equites, chorizo verde tacos, and tlacoyos. You will then proceed to the Museum of Anthropology, where Paco will arrange a special tour, guided by a museum specialist, through the most important salad of the Museum.

Top-tier Mexican PE venture capital experts to host an invigorating discussion on the recent trends in cross-border investment between the U.S. and Mexico. The discussion aims to give you a learned look into the expectations of investors in Mexico and talk about the general M&A Market Environment in the country and in the U.S. It will also include talks on industry activities, the role of venture capitalism and more.

Mezcal Tasting
During this tasting led by an expert with ties to many small artisanal producers, you will be introduced to the cultivation,  production methods, and types of mezcal. During the tasting, the mezcals will be paired with local homemade snacks, and each guest will be provided with a beautiful hand-painted bottle to fill with their favorite mezcal at the end of the experience.

June 5 – Friday

Pyramids of Teotihuacán Tour
On this tour, you will travel to the ancient Teotihuacán Pyramids complex approximately 1.5 hours outside of Mexico City. At Teotihuacán, you will visit the residential compounds, mural painting museum, Caracol Alado and Quetzalpapalotl Palaces, Moon and Sun pyramids (climbing up optional!), Avenue of the Dead, and the site museum. Paco also suggests a lunch stop for pre-Hispanic tamales and chocolate drinks at a nearby town chocolaterie.

Lucha Libre Match
On this evening you will attend a traditional Lucha Libre match. Start with a shot of tequila and watch masked wrestlers dressed as superheroes and villains rumble and tumble inside the ring. Get into the spirit and cheer for your preferred luchador.
